On this week’s #IHAQ, we asked Kellan Reck about YouTube‘s Algorithms and how to use them to get your content seen by the right people.

First, be specific. Your company, your product and your story are unique, so it’s important to keep your video content specific to that. This will help the algorithm find your content and match it with the right people.

Secondly, create long-form video content. YouTube wants to keep people on their platform for as long as possible. Videos over 8 minutes are promoted more by the algorithm as there is more potential for advertising revenue on those videos.

A key factor when dealing with video content is to know the platforms. It’s important to create the right videos for the right platforms.
