Today is Florence Nightingale’s birthday, marking the end of National Nurses Week 2020. Last week I posted the Healthcare Heroes compilation video we made for MatrixCare to kick off National Nurses Week.
As part of the series, we’re creating individual videos on these healthcare heroes which MatrixCare will release every week. This video features Ashely Collins, the Director of Nursing at American Senior Communities. I found her story especially impactful because as a pregnant mother she’s still going in and leading by example, rather than coaching from the sidelines which would be totally acceptable in this scenario.
I love projects like this where we get some insight into another industry or profession. Nurses are truly amazing, especially in a time like these.
