Maddie’s Promise is an outstanding non-profit organization that funds impactful research for rare pediatric cancers.

Maddie’s Promise is more than a tribute to a beautiful and beautifully strong eleven-year-old girl gone too soon; it’s a rally cry to push rare childhood cancer research forward — creating tangible, life-saving treatments along the way.

Funding and research for treatments for rare pediatric cancers have been left behind, and Maddie’s Promise is doing its part to honor Maddie by closing the funding gap.

Unlike many adult cancers, rare pediatric cancers have barely moved the needle in terms of emerging treatments. For instance, the rhabdomyosarcoma prognosis has been the same since 1980. Lacking financial support by big businesses that prioritize profitability in numbers, breakthroughs are waiting on the sidelines.

We covered the first annual Maddie’s Promise Gala and put together this video recapping the event. We filmed and pre-produced content for the live stream as well as producing the live stream itself.

It was a great night as Maddie’s Promise raised over one-hundred thousand dollars for cancer research and treatment and hopefully are one step closer to a cure for rare pediatric cancers.
