2022 Share Your Story Scholarship- Isley Wilson

Congratulations to Isley Wilson, the recipient of the 2022 path8 Share Your Story Scholarship!

Isley is a Biobehavioral Health major at Penn State University and wants to use her education to make an impact in the field of health equity.

In her submission video, Isley described how her main goal is to go into health advocacy and help bridge the gap between the healthcare industry and the Black community. She wants to use this scholarship to enhance her ability to create digital media to help promote this cause.

We have worked with many great organizations over the years that do tremendous work on improving health equity across the board, such as PAARI, Northeastern University, InnerCity Weightlifting, Boston United, The Lowell Institute School, AAAP, and Brown School of Public Health.

When working on projects with these organizations, it’s always inspirational to see their selfless work and impact on people’s lives.

Isley using her education to go into this field was a perfect match for the scholarship, and we hope this helps her follow her passion.

The Share Your Story Scholarship originates from my time spent teaching Video Production at Brooke High School.

At Brooke, I was really impacted by the students. While most of them enjoyed Video Production as a fun elective, some embraced it as a creative outlet and found a passion for it as I had in high school.

I was afforded many opportunities over the years to help me pursue my passion and eventually start path8 Productions. I’ve been fortunate enough that these opportunities have put me in a position where I’m able to pay it forward.

I hope this scholarship plays a small part in allowing students to do the same.
